Working Student / Student Assistant for Night Shifts on a Palliative Care Ward

Student job on night shifts in the palliative medicine department. Alongside your medical studies, you support the nursing team within your level of training and as agreed, always under supervision and respecting patients' wishes, dignity and privacy.

• Attend the handover from the late shift to the night shift to learn about your patients.
• Reliably replenish nursing supplies and consumables at the nursing stations and prepare materials for the following day.
• Sensitively support qualified nurses in caring for seriously ill and dying people.
• Ask patients about their wishes and needs with empathy and meet them as far as you can.
• Immediately report any changes or unusual observations directly to the responsible nurse.
• Offer conversation and valuable company during the quiet night hours.

• You are a medical student with previous clinical or nursing experience.
• You value caring for the whole person with empathy. You are emotionally stable and resilient.
• Supporting people through conversation near the end of life matters deeply to you.
