Dual Study Program – Optical Engineering, Starting Autumn 2027

Theory and deepened practice – in the new dual study program Optical Engineering, which we offer together with Aalen University of Applied Sciences, these two worlds merge perfectly. Students gain valuable practical experience at ZEISS and deepen their knowledge in future-oriented technologies, making them sought-after specialists. Optical Engineering deals with the development and production of precise optical systems and combines expertise from optics, electronics, computer science, and mechanics. They design innovative solutions by mastering the interfaces between electronic and optical components, developing light simulations, and applying state-of-the-art image processing technologies.

• Become part of dynamic teams within ZEISS to develop and produce highly modern mechatronic systems
• Practical work in project management and execution of real projects in measurement, medical, or semiconductor technology
• Acquisition of diverse experience and implementation of theoretically learned skills and competencies in global business areas parallel to studies
