Internship - Development of Mechatronic Components

Schaeffler is an international technology group with the culture of a family business and a partner of all major car manufacturers and many industrial customers. The basic requirement for an internship at Schaeffler is proof of enrollment at the time of the internship. The position is available immediately for a period of 6 months.

• Supporting a project team in the development and design of new mechatronic systems for electric and hybridized drives
• Helping to evaluate requirement specifications and data sheets and to create own component specifications
• Helping to select new assembly concepts, CAD design of components and creating drawings
• Helping with return part and benchmark investigations (disassembly of assemblies / photo documentation)
• Support in prototype shop and lab when building prototypes
• Helping with component design and selection of suitable assembly and joining technology (e.g. carrying out tolerance analyses)
• Helping to define test and simulation series and interpret the results
• Creating templates and design documents in German and English

• Studies in mechatronics, mechanical engineering or a comparable field
• First experience in design, ideally with the CAD software Creo 7.0, is an advantage
• Knowledge of the basics of electrical engineering, electronic components as well as sensors and actuators is an advantage
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
• Confident use of MS Office programs
• Very good technical understanding
• Creativity, independent way of working and communication skills
