Internship in Automotive Project Purchasing

Internship in automotive project purchasing at Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG in Herzogenaurach. The position starts in September 2026 and lasts 6 months. You must be enrolled at a university during the internship.

• Manage the request and quotation process through the SupplyOn supply chain platform
• Evaluate quotations and prepare quotation comparisons
• Support internal and external technical discussions
• Organise, attend and follow up on supplier meetings
• Help launch new automotive projects involving electric mobility and conventional powertrains
• Prepare supplier orders
• Manage projects independently
• Support worldwide cost reduction programmes, development projects and make or buy assessments
• Help coordinate with sales, cost and value analysis, product development, application engineering, plants, project managers and quality departments
• Gain insight into the product development process
• Help research data in SAP, including prices, delivery schedules, supplier contracts and tooling orders

• You are successfully pursuing a degree in business, economics, engineering or a related subject and can provide proof of enrolment during the internship
• You have already gained some initial work experience
• You are sociable and open minded
• You are interested in working on a wide range of projects involving different disciplines
• You are confident using MS Office
• You have very good spoken and written German and English
• You are open to new ideas and interested in working both independently and as part of a team
