Social Worker / Social Pedagogue in the Girls' Protection Group

The Girls' Protection Group of the city's children's aid center is an emergency care facility under § 42 SGB VIII for female teenagers from age 14 until adulthood who can no longer live with their families. Another key area is the admission and care of unaccompanied minor refugees. Work is in rotating shifts (early, late and night) and on Sundays and public holidays, always with at least two staff on duty. Can be filled from 1 November 2026 for the Social Services and Child Protection department in the Office for Social Affairs and Youth. Pay group S 12 TVöD, permanent contract.

• Carry out taking into care, full care, supervision and educational support of young people during emergency admissions and crisis interventions
• Actively structure, organize and shape the young people's daily life
• Cooperate with specialist agencies and help develop lasting prospects for the young people
• Communicate openly and respectfully within the team and with management
• Take on administrative tasks and help with housekeeping tasks and team processes
• Be willing to work shifts and occasionally weekends and public holidays

• Degree in Social Work or Social Pedagogy (Bachelor of Arts) with state recognition, or state-recognized Diplom social pedagogue / Diplom social worker
• Skills in working with challenging young people
• High mental and physical resilience and strong commitment
• Confident and responsible way of acting
• Team-oriented, flexible, cooperative, strong communicator with a solution-oriented approach
• Experience in residential youth welfare (desirable)
