Technician, Work Preparation

Position in the Sewer Operations department of the Stadtentwässerungsbetrieb of the City of Düsseldorf (EG 9b TVöD, available from 01.02.2027). Under the motto "Nothing runs without an order", you manage workflows and route planning using a modern operations management system. In close cooperation with foremen and dispatch planners, you coordinate and process orders and enter all relevant data into the system, so that sewers, street drains, pumping stations and wastewater facilities keep working reliably.

• Work preparation for network operations (sewer and pumping station), especially creating and coordinating work orders, work plans and route planning
• Planning, controlling and monitoring weekly, monthly and annual orders, including capacity planning and checking, maintaining and optimising order assignment
• Helping to further develop and optimise work preparation processes and the specialist applications used for them
• Using and maintaining specialist software to support operational processes
• Carrying out internal performance controlling and creating and analysing operational key figures and statistics

• State-certified technician in energy, environmental, process or construction engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Experience in work preparation and confident use of common IT applications, especially operations management systems, is desirable
• Strong communication skills and a respectful manner with operations managers and colleagues
• Willingness to keep learning professionally and personally, for example through REFA training
• Unrestricted class B driving licence (formerly class 3)
