Quality Engineer

As the central contact for quality assurance in the team at Swiss Life Germany in Hannover, you design test concepts, create manual and automated test cases and carry out tests independently.

• You design test concepts, create manual and automated test cases and carry out functional and non-functional tests independently
• You coach team members on quality topics, promote shared quality awareness and empower the team in testing
• You systematically identify, describe and track defects, assess risks and prioritize accordingly
• You act as the interface to test and release management and ensure smooth information flow
• Together with developers you analyze and fix software defects and help improve development and test processes
• You implement smaller functional requirements independently with team support

• A completed apprenticeship or degree in IT, ideally complemented by an ISTQB certification
• Sound experience with testing methods and processes as well as a deep understanding of the software development process
• Confident use of test management tools such as Jira
• First knowledge of software development with Java is an advantage, as is the willingness to implement smaller requirements with team support
• Analytical thinking and a strong quality awareness
• Communicate complex matters clearly and appropriately for the audience, in German with business-fluent speaking and writing
