Medical Assistant in Bronchoscopy / Pneumological Outpatient Clinic

At the Heart Center of the University Hospital Bonn, the following position is to be filled as soon as possible on a full-time basis (38.5 hrs/week): Medical Assistant (f/m/d) in Bronchoscopy / Pneumological Outpatient Clinic. The position is permanent. Due to the move to our new Heart Center at the University Hospital Bonn, the center outpatient clinics of the departments of Cardiology, Pneumology, Angiology and Cardiac Surgery have been brought together under one roof. In an interdisciplinary team, you will care for patients during outpatient stays and during preliminary examinations for inpatient procedures at the Heart Center. • Organization and administration of outpatient clinic workflow (administrative registration, registration of all examinations, appointment scheduling, etc.)
• Planning and assistance during bronchoscopies, including sedation and monitoring of patients:
• flexible and rigid bronchoscopy
• Robotic bronchoscopy using Ion or Illumisite
• Interventional bronchoscopy, valves, coils, stents, cryobiopsy
• Performance of body plethysmography, blood gas analysis, DLCO, 6MWT, respiratory muscle strength, provocation tests, allergy prick tests
• Performance of blood sampling and ECGs
• Back office including findings requests, scheduling of outpatient and inpatient examinations, communication with other specialist departments and referrers

• You have completed your training as a Medical Assistant or have a comparable medical qualification
• Administrative and medical tasks give you pleasure, you are an organizational talent and keep an overview
• An independent, careful and structured way of working with high willingness to perform is important to you
• You have already gained professional experience, ideally in the context of cardiology, pneumology and bronchoscopy
